Blue-chip steady: a two-sided SOL-USDC range on Meteora DLMM

The calmest of the three official playbooks. It only provides liquidity in deep blue-chip pools such as SOL-USDC, places a two-sided range around the current price, and sizes that range from support, resistance and recent volatility instead of a fixed width. The aim is steady fees while price moves sideways.

Who it is for

  • You want fees from SOL-USDC or other deep pairs without watching the chart all day.
  • You prefer a wider, slower range to chasing the highest fee pool of the hour.
  • You are new to DLMM and want a playbook limited to deep, established tokens.

How it works

Pools

Only SOL-USDC, SOL-USDT, and JUP, JTO, JitoSOL or mSOL against SOL or USDC, with TVL above $500K and 24h volume above $2M, preferring bin step 5–20. When a pair has several pools, it takes the one with the best 24h fee/TVL.

Range

Liquidity on both sides of the price: Curve when volatility is low, Spot when it is high. The width is decided each time between ±3% and ±12%, with the lower edge just below support and the upper edge just above resistance from the last 24–72 hours, then checked against a quick backtest of two or three widths.

Out of range

It waits 20–60 minutes before resetting the range around the new price, does not chase a strong one-way trend, and resets at most 6 times a day. Fees are compounded once they exceed 1% of principal.

Exit

Out at an 8% loss, re-evaluated after 7 days, and out when price breaks the 3-day support with four 15-minute closes below it. Leftover tokens are swapped back to the quote token.

Everything above that is a range ("between", "usually", "decided each time") is judged by the Agent each round from fresh pool data, price history and a quick backtest. How a round works is in How it decides.

Hard limits the platform enforces

These come straight from the numbers in the prompt. The engine enforces them on its own; the AI can exit earlier but cannot override them.

  • Stop loss at an 8% loss, checked every minute.
  • Up to 2 positions open at once, $100–300 each.
  • Total budget $600.
  • Maximum hold of 7 days; after that it exits and places again on fresh levels.

Every open also passes the platform's safety checks (token safety, a sell test and transaction simulation), and tokens with honeypot behaviour, freeze authority or high transfer tax are always excluded.

The full prompt

This is the exact text an Agent runs (version 2). A prompt is an Agent: copy it, change any number, and check it again before you create one. What each part of a prompt means is in What rules can express.

Only trade major blue-chip pools: SOL-USDC, SOL-USDT, and JUP, JTO, JitoSOL or mSOL paired with SOL or USDC. Only pick pools with TVL above $500K and 24h volume above $2M, preferring bin step 5–20. When a pair has several pools, pick the one with the highest fee/TVL over the last 24 hours.
Range: place liquidity on both sides of the current price (choose Spot or Curve based on volatility: Curve concentrated near the price when volatility is low, Spot spread out when it is high). Don't fix the width; decide it between ±3% and ±12% around the current price. First use the last 24–72 hours of price action to find the nearest support and resistance (lows and highs touched several times, and high-volume zones), and put the lower bound slightly below support and the upper bound slightly above resistance. Then backtest two or three widths and pick the one with the highest time in range and the best fees minus impermanent loss. Widen when volatility has clearly picked up; tighten when price is moving sideways.
Reset range: when price leaves the range, watch for 20–60 minutes first; if it hasn't come back, reset the range around the current price and the new support and resistance. When a one-way trend is strong (e.g. the 4h candles keep making new lows or new highs), don't chase it; wait for it to settle before placing again. Reset the range at most 6 times a day. Compound fees into the position once accumulated fees exceed 1% of principal.
Exit: stop loss at an 8% loss. After a max hold time of 7 days, re-evaluate and place again. Exit when price breaks below the lowest support of the last 3 days and 4 consecutive 15-minute candles close below it. After exiting, swap the remaining tokens back to the quote token.
Funds: $100–300 per position, decided by pool depth and your confidence in the range; up to 2 open at once; total budget $600.

Risks

  • A two-sided range turns into the weaker token as price moves through it: if SOL keeps falling, the position ends up mostly in SOL and loses value even while it earns fees.
  • Range resets lock in that loss; too many resets in a choppy market can cost more than the fees.
  • A stop loss is a market exit, so in a fast move it can fill below the 8% line.

None of this is a promise of returns. Read Risks and fees before you use real funds.

Run it

Open the template, see what it would open right now and how the last 14 days would have gone, then run it on paper funds. Real funds stay in a Vault only your wallet can withdraw from.

Other official templates

  • Wide-wall dip buying: Established trending tokens. Uses only SOL to buy dips in layers near support, each layer with its own stop loss, earning fees.
  • Trending two-sided: Trending tokens listed for 3+ days. Two-sided to earn fees in both directions; exits when the trend breaks down.
